At sixteen most people aren't filling in for Frank Ocean on 1 day of notice for the Splendour in the Grass Festival, but that's the kind of stuff Ella Yellich-O'Connor, better known as Lorde, does. At the age of sixteen she is killing it. This track Royals is going to be in the talk for song of the year, and if it isn't it is a crime. Her voice isn't quite like anything I've heard in a while especially coming from someone as young as her. It is refreshing, cool, and a bit unnerving. She is a gem from New Zealand that you best not overlook or you will feel left out when she is one of the next best artists.
